A week in the life of your coach…

Chicken Soup

We’ve been a rather poorly household this week. Starting with my two-year-old son being rushing into hospital with breathing problems (asthma), and culminating with both my hubby and myself laid up in bed with a flu/virus kinda-thing!

I’m convinced we picked it up whilst on our overnight stay in the ridiculously hot children’s ward. Why are hospitals so damned hot! It’s a like a breeding ground for every gruesome germ out there.

We’ve got through three boxes of man-sized Kleenex tissues, five tins of Heinz chicken soup and almost a whole tub of Vapour Rub. But, I’m pleased to say we’re on the mend and feeling more human-like again.

It’s interesting how you really don’t value your good health until you’re ill. We take for granted that we can jump out of bed each morning, that we can dress ourselves, walk, wash our bodies, run, skip, play with our children, cook fairy cakes or simply go about our day-to-day business. We don’t think about the ease of doing these simple things, until we can’t!

Now I’m on the mend I’m feeling very appreciative for my healthy body and thoroughly enjoying having my energy back. I’ve cleared out my kitchen cupboards, sorted my paperwork and even cleaned my windows! Spring-cleaning has come early. Let’s hope the motivation lasts eh!

Wishing you all a happy and healthy week!
