I’ve made quite a monumental decision that is going to change the landscape of my business considerably. Over the last six months or so I’ve been seriously thinking about how I can take my business to the next level. I adore my clients and absolutely love working with women who are serious about changing their life. But, I’d like to get out there into the world and help even more women to rock their world. Therefore I’ve decided to reduce the number of one-to-one clients I work with and concentrate more on speaking gigs, developing home study courses, mobile phones apps, CDs, podcasts and of course, more books! I love developing new products, when I’m creating I’m in a total state of flow. And hey, life is about flowing!

From a survey I carried out last year I was able to understand what my audience really wants and needs, from making more money, setting up businesses, finding purpose and meaning, manifesting love and creating more ‘me’ time. We’ve had a super weekend. My gorgeous baby girl turned the grand old age of seven on Saturday and spent the day celebrating with eight of her little buddies at a nail art party at the local beauty salon. The day was jam-packed to the brim with nail varnish, Katie Perry and screaming children.

The lovely thing about birthdays, especially a child’s birthday, is that the normal weekend routine goes out the window. Reality suspended, albeit for a couple of days. All focus was on her, and she reveled in it. It’s the one day of the year where she can freely eat as much as she wants, make as much mess as she wants and stay up as late as she wants. It doesn’t get much better for a kid. As we get older, birthdays are less important and quite often even depressing! As we peer into the mirror to examine our latest wrinkle, we’d rather forget that we are another year older. For a little girl, a birthday is the most thrilling and significant day of the year. As a parent, well it’s just another reminder that the years are rolling by and how precious each day is.

No birthday should roll by without a little razzmatazz, make your birthday this year a special one, suspend your reality for just one day and do something different to mark the occasion! Both my hubby and I have booked our birthday’s off work this year and intend to spoil each other rotten.

I have just arrived home from London from the most awesome weekend with Sonia Choquette.

Sonia Choquette is a world-renowned author, storyteller, vibrational healer, and six sensory spiritual teacher in international demand for her guidance, wisdom, and capacity to heal the soul. I had the pleasure of attending the Hay House ‘Trust Your Vibes, Six Sensory Certification Course’ run by Sonia herself. And well, what can I say! Walking in with no real expectation other than to enjoy the presence and energy of other like-minded people, I came away a changed gal, truly I did. Sonia really does have a supernatural power and energy that you cannot fail to be captivated by.

For those of you who have read some of Sonia’s books you’ll know that she helps people understand their souls’ plan and purpose and leads them to a successful, meaningful and peaceful lives. I learnt so much about myself, I had some serious ‘ah ha’ moments. I’m so used to being the teacher and standing up front, so it was quite venerable to be the student again. All exposing, but so very cathartic. We all need a guru, a teacher or a guide to help navigate the path of life when we need it most. So rather than hiding behind another book for answers, I stepped up and reached out and along came Sonia.

Our soul yearns for spiritual growth. And each of our growth lessons comes to us in perfect order and timing. Yet most of us suppress this calling with food, sex, shoes, co-dependency, drugs, without really exploring what our Spirit is really calling out for! But believe me, it is calling out.

Can you hear it? Can you feel it?

Ok I’m sure you’re all sick of me banging on about my new book FINDING A FUTURE THAT FITS, but I just have to share this story with you. Right from the moment I decided to write my book, I always held the vision in mind of seeing my book for the first time on a shelf in a well-known store. This vision kept me focused, motivated and steadfast through all the highs and lows a writer goes through to bring their work into the world. I promised myself that once published, I would mark the occasion by taking a visit to my local store to see my masterpiece sitting proudly on the shelf.

So this is exactly what I did!

I was in town yesterday and it occurred to me that I hadn’t yet visited my local Waterstones to see if they stocked my book. With a rather energised spring in my step I decided to pop in and take a little look. As I approached the ‘self help’ section my heart missed a few beats as I spotted some of the numerous books I’ve read over the years that have played such an integral part in my journey so far. And guess what? As I got closer, I realized a woman was holding MY book and flicking through it! It was almost impossible to contain my elation and excitement. I so wanted to shout, “Hey that’s my book, I wrote that’! But, of course I didn’t, how uncool I would have looked! Anyway, this very lovely lady then took my book to the checkout, paid and left the store. What an awesome moment! She’ll never know that the author was standing right behind her! A memory I will cherish for the rest of my days.

One of my biggest life lessons so far has been mastering the art of visualisation. Such a simple, accessible and fun practice that is easy and everyone can do it! My book was created firmly in my mind, long before it ever came to fruition. Our imagination is the field where EVERYTHING is created. When you look around at your surroundings right now, everything and I mean everything was once a thought, a dream in someone’s mind. If your mind can see it and believe it, it will become your reality on some level. Ask yourself: What do I most often daydream about.

I’ve always been a daydreamer, always had big visions for my life. It has only been in the last seven years or so that I’ve consciously created positive daydreams. And without a doubt, I know this has got me to where I am today.

Visualisation is used by some of the most successful people, from pop stars, to businessmen, entrepreneurs and Olympic athletes. Almost every athlete plays the race in their mind before the event. They feel the muscles they will use and how each one will tense and how much power is behind a jump, or a sprint. Every successful person will tell you the same thing – that they could see their success long before it happened.

Don’t underestimate the power of your mind. Just 15 minutes of creative visualisation a day can change your life in unimaginable ways. It’s just that most people don’t believe in their own imagination. Remember: your imagination is the field where you create your future.

Here are 5 tips to help you to start using visualisation:

1. Practice. Repetition is the key to any new skill. Make visualising a daily practice.

2. Whilst visualising, imagine you are looking through your own physical eyes.

3. Put emotions into your dreams. Feel how it would feel to have achieved your goals or dreams.

4. Make it real. Visualise colour, imagine smells, make the images as real as possible.

5. Let no negative thoughts or feelings in whilst visualising. Think of it as a movie and you are the director, you decide what plays out.
