My Lifesaver
Just back from The Vitality Show, one of the UK’s largest health, beauty, fitness and wellbeing events for women. I’d just like to say a big ‘HELLO’ to all my lovely new subscribers and I hope you enjoy being part of The Game of Life Club. I will be picking my winner for the Champneys weekend very soon, so watch this space.
If you didn’t get the chance to see me live on stage at The Vitality Show, I’m also talking at the Mind Body Spirit Festival in May, followed by the I Can Do It! Hay House conference in September and The Good Health Show in October, plus many smaller gigs throughout the year, you can find out more here >
The Vitality Show is the one event during the year that takes me away from home for almost a week. A massive ‘thank you’ to my wonderful mum and sister who step in to the fold to play mummy and daddy whilst we are away. They’re both superstars! What’s interesting is that I’ve already noticed my stress levels increase since being back home. Lots of new leads to make contact with, ideas to pursue, new contacts to follow up, plus my new book Finding a Future That Fits launches next week, and I’ve got a busy few weeks of interviews lined up. All very exciting, but combined, all very stressful. It is at times like this I realize that it is more important than ever to ‘get connected’, or to hook up with what I call my ‘Inner Guide’. The more connected I am, the more centered I become, and the better decisions I make. Interestingly, for most of us, when we’re under pressure we tend to become unbalanced, our breathing becomes shallow and we run around like headless chickens trying to get everything done (or is this just me?). And, when we’re in this state of anxiety and fear we can’t think straight, we make bad decisions and start attracting all sorts on obstacles into our path. In moments of stress we need to remind ourselves that there is another way, there is a way out!
Meditation can be hugely beneficial in our demanding and hectic lives, not only does it help us relax and de-stress, it also helps us to understand ourselves better and connect with our inner wisdom. Practiced regularly meditation leads you to a deeper level of self-awareness and peace. If you want to be free of constant worry, pressure and stress, the benefits can provide you with a life that is calm, peaceful, happy and relaxed. Meditation is my lifesaver and has quite literally changed my life and I urge you to give it a try for yourself. Just five minutes a day can make a radical difference to your life. Try reading The Power of Meditation by Sharon Salzberg.
That’s it for this week folks. I’m off down to London now to film my VT for my new book, followed by an interview with More! magazine. Another fun-packed week! Will send you some photos next week.
Bye Bye
